1387–1437 Hungary AR Parvus – King Sigismund I Medieval Silver
Scarce medieval hammered silver coin struck during the reign of King Sigismund of Hungary (later Holy Roman Emperor), dating to approximately 1387–1437 AD. This small silver parvus features the classic crude hammered style of late medieval European coinage, with cross-and-pellet designs typical of the period.
A great affordable piece of true medieval silver, over 600 years old. These tiny hammered coins circulated throughout medieval Hungary during a turbulent era of crusades, dynastic conflict, and expanding Ottoman pressure in Eastern Europe.
Condition is as shown, with uneven strike and clipped/irregular flan typical for the type. Attractive original medieval appearance with strong character and solid silver surfaces. Perfect starter medieval coin or addition to a world silver / hammered collection.
