Ancient bronze coin from the Kingdom of Pontos under the famous ruler Mithradates VI Eupator, one of Rome’s greatest eastern rivals.
Obverse features an aegis with facing gorgoneion (Medusa head) at center, a classic protective symbol seen on Pontic bronze coinage. Reverse shows Nike standing with palm branch and monograms/control marks.
